Surroundings

Clé de Tève is located in the small village of Dévillac, in the Lot-et-Garonne department, on the border with the Dordogne. The small town of Villeréal, 7 km from the estate, has all the facilities you need (markets, shops, festivals…).

The region is known for its 'bastides': fortified medieval villages built on hilltops. Further afield are the bastides of Monpazier, Monflanquin and Issigeac, the Château de Biron and Cadouin Abbey. About 35 km to the north lies Bergerac, with the château and wine estate of Monbazillac nearby.

The local wine is excellent value and compares well with the Bordeaux estates further west.

The region is attractive to tourists, yet the villages and roads stay quiet, which makes walking and cycling a pleasure. Canoeing and kayaking are possible on the Dordogne and the Vézère.

The climate is mild and dry, with the occasional very hot spell in summer.
